☆Highlights☆

〇 We will display seven sets of Kyoho Hina dolls, which are rare and valuable among Edo period Hina dolls due to their limited numbers, and feature opulent costumes and designs.
〇 We will exhibit items related to "The Tale of Genji," which contains descriptions of "Hina-asobi" (doll play) from the Heian period. These include "Murasaki Shikibu Eigetsu Zu Jigasan" (Murasaki Shikibu Viewing the Moon with Autograph Inscription), depicting Murasaki Shikibu writing "The Tale of Genji" (Edo period, by Ryuho), and Genji-e folding screens (Edo period, artist unknown).
〇 We will display the "Safflower Folding Screen" (Edo period, by Aoyama Eiko), which provides insight into water transport, one of the distribution routes for Hina dolls, and safflower production, used for dyeing the costumes of Hina dolls.

Please come and enjoy the splendid Hina decorations.
